About Walsall

Walsall is a Black Country town north-west of Birmingham that became world-famous for its leather industry, producing saddlery and fine leather goods — a trade celebrated at the town's Leather Museum, and reflected in its nickname the 'Saddlers'. It was the birthplace of author Jerome K. Jerome. The New Art Gallery Walsall brought a striking modern landmark to the town centre. With affordable housing and Metro and rail links towards Birmingham, Walsall has a steady local rental market.
