Open Homes workspaceAbout Uxbridge
Uxbridge grew up as a market town on the road between London and Oxford, and its markets date back to the medieval period. During the Second World War it became nationally important: RAF Uxbridge housed the underground Battle of Britain Bunker, where the air defence of London and the south-east was coordinated in 1940. Today Uxbridge sits at the western edge of Greater London on the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines, close to the M40 and M25, and is home to Brunel University London. It offers renters a mix of modern apartments and suburban homes with fast links into central London.
