About Sutton Coldfield

Sutton Coldfield is a large, historically prosperous town on the northern edge of Birmingham, granted a royal charter as a 'Royal Town' by Henry VIII in 1528 at the request of Bishop Vesey, who did much to improve it. Its crowning glory is Sutton Park, one of the largest urban parks in Europe and a National Nature Reserve, with ancient woodland, heath and lakes. A leafy, affluent suburb with good rail links into Birmingham, it has a strong rental market.
