About Rochdale

Rochdale is a Greater Manchester town with a proud place in social history as the birthplace of the modern co-operative movement — the Rochdale Pioneers opened their famous co-op shop on Toad Lane in 1844. A cotton and wool town in the industrial era, it has one of the grandest Victorian town halls in England. The River Roch runs beneath the restored town centre. Metrolink trams and affordable housing give Rochdale an active, value-focused rental market.
