Richmond is an affluent south-west London town on the River Thames, named after the royal Richmond Palace that once stood here. It is home to Richmond Park, the largest of London's Royal Parks and a National Nature Reserve famous for its free-roaming deer, and to the historic view from Richmond Hill, the only view in England protected by an Act of Parliament. With riverside walks, a lively town centre and District line and rail links, Richmond is one of the most sought-after and expensive places to rent in London.
