About Portsmouth

Portsmouth is Britain's great naval city, home to one of the world's oldest dry docks and a Royal Navy base for centuries. Its Historic Dockyard preserves famous warships including HMS Victory, Nelson's flagship at Trafalgar, and the Tudor Mary Rose. Sitting mainly on Portsea Island, it is one of the most densely populated cities in the UK. Charles Dickens was born here. With a university, a busy ferry port and the Spinnaker Tower dominating the waterfront, Portsmouth has a strong and steady rental market.
