Open Homes workspaceAbout Oldham
Oldham rose during the Industrial Revolution to become one of the most productive cotton-spinning towns in the world, its skyline once crowded with mills. Perched on the Pennine hills on the eastern edge of Greater Manchester, it was a boom town of the 19th century. Winston Churchill began his parliamentary career as an MP for Oldham. Today the Metrolink tram connects it directly to Manchester, and its affordable housing supports a steady rental market.
