About Mansfield

Mansfield is a Nottinghamshire market town on the edge of Sherwood Forest, historically a centre for textiles, hosiery and coal mining in the surrounding Nottinghamshire coalfield. It is crossed by a striking Victorian railway viaduct that dominates the town centre. Close to the forest and country parks associated with the Robin Hood legend, Mansfield remains the main town of its district, with an affordable and steady local rental market.
