About Leighton Buzzard

Leighton Buzzard is a Bedfordshire market town on the River Ouzel and Grand Union Canal. It grew around agriculture, sand quarrying and market trade, with the narrow-gauge Leighton Buzzard Railway originally built to carry sand from local quarries. The town’s historic High Street, canal walks and rail links to London Euston make it popular with commuters. Its rental market mixes family houses, town-centre homes and newer developments serving Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and London workers.
