About Huddersfield

Huddersfield is a West Yorkshire town that grew wealthy on the woollen and worsted textile trade, and it retains one of the finest collections of Victorian architecture in Britain — its grand railway station has been called one of the most splendid in England. Set among the Pennine hills, it was the birthplace of Prime Minister Harold Wilson and of rugby league, founded here in 1895. A university town with strong transport links, Huddersfield has an affordable and busy rental market.
