Open Homes workspaceAbout High Wycombe
High Wycombe sits in a valley in the Chiltern Hills and grew into the centre of the English furniture industry, famous above all for the traditional Windsor chair — at its peak the town's workshops turned out thousands of chairs a day. It has an unusual civic tradition of 'weighing in' the mayor to check they have not grown fat at the public's expense. Home to Buckinghamshire New University and set among beech woods, High Wycombe offers renters a mix of Victorian terraces and newer homes with fast trains into London Marylebone.
