Hemel Hempstead is a Hertfordshire town with an old market centre — the High Street and St Mary's Church date back to the medieval and Norman periods — that was greatly expanded as a New Town after 1947 to house Londoners. It is nationally known for its 'Magic Roundabout', a famous ring of six mini-roundabouts. Set close to the Chilterns and the Grand Union Canal, with good links to the M1, M25 and London Euston, Hemel Hempstead offers renters a broad mix of post-war and modern housing.
