Farnborough is a Hampshire town synonymous with aviation: it was the birthplace of British powered flight, where Samuel Cody made the first official aeroplane flight in Britain in 1908, and became home to the Royal Aircraft Establishment. It still hosts the world-famous Farnborough International Airshow. The town also has a French imperial connection, as the burial place of Napoleon III and Empress Eugénie at St Michael's Abbey. With rail links to London Waterloo, Farnborough offers renters a mix of modern and period homes.
