About Caerphilly

Caerphilly is dominated by its vast medieval castle, the largest in Wales and one of the biggest in Britain, famous for its water defences and a leaning tower said to out-lean the Tower of Pisa. The town grew around the castle and later with the South Wales coal industry, and it gives its name to the well-known crumbly white Caerphilly cheese. Sitting just north of Cardiff, it is a popular and affordable commuter town with a busy local rental market.
